Description

The Actuarial Product Specialist will join the Structured Solutions team and be responsible for managing retail discretionary participation business. The candidate will also assist in the development and management of corporate structured and/or guaranteed investments.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail discretionary participation business, including asset and liability oversight
• Identify improvements to discretionary participation book management and obtain governance approvals
• Assist in developing corporate structured/guaranteed investments, conducting analysis, and engaging stakeholders
• Recommend and review bonus rates and update bonus smoothing formulas
• Build, update, and review financial models for impact assessment
• Ensure compliance with statutory and contractual requirements
• Mitigate financial, legal, and operational risks
• Review legal documents such as client contracts and counterparty agreements
• Conduct actuarial, compliance, and performance reporting
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Drive projects to completion within deadlines
• Resolve technical actuarial queries

Qualifications

• Actuarial Science degree preferred but not required
• Passed at least six Core Principles (‘A100 & A200’) actuarial subjects
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and VBA is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of discretionary participation business and structured/guaranteed investments
